Our direct health insurer client is looking for a Manager Business Analyst with a financial background to join their team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manages and oversees the interpretation and linkage of business needs and objectives in applications development and support activities
• Manages day-to-day resources necessary to provide effective applications to support user needs and resolve problems
• Works with departmental staff and users to identify requirements for development projects and support activities.
• Effectively integrates new technologies and develops project plans and schedules
• Applies in-depth knowledge of systems to diagnose problems and finds solutions to meet user requirements
• Incorporates global and organizational best practices into applications
• Uses project management methodologies to effectively manage projects
• Creates effective organizational structure and develop staff skills and competencies through training and experience

Minimum Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IS or related field
• 5+ years of systems analysis or IT project management experience, preferably in healthcare
• Working knowledge of the integration of medical and/or claims information and information systems, database modeling, project management, and application or systems development methodologies
• Previous experience as a lead in a functional area, managing cross functional teams on large scale projects or supervisory experience including hiring, training, assigning work and managing the performance of staff
